We've been going to Ponzu for years. Their sushi never disappoints and the owners are extremely kind. They actively began stocking GF soy sauce for my partner who can't have wheat. Highly recommend this place.

Ponzu is a great place for Japanese/Korean food. The place carries a warm ambiance and soothing vibe, the staff is welcoming and helpful as well. The place offers variety of options on their menu from Rolls, to sushi, Sashimi and Ramen. It has plenty of vegetarian options as well, and their vegetarian portions are good. The staff is well informed and they help you choose based on preferences. Price points in this restaurant are very reasonably set. We tried their Spicy edamame and it was a delish. Try their hot sake on a cold day, it was . We walked out of Ponzu, satisfied and content.

We ordered kimchee pancake, bibimbap, rice dumpling soup, kimchee stew, mackerel and sushi - all a wonderful (and fresh) surprise. The chef was very attentive to our party’s allergies. A gem in Waltham. Service is great too. Highly recommend

We stopped by Ponzu early in the evening and were the only ones there at the time, but don’t let that fool you—the food was great! The calamari and tempura vegetables were both crispy and flavorful, and the sushi was fresh and well-prepared. Service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for quality sushi and a relaxed atmosphere.

Fantastic and fresh Sushi, a good chunk of the menu is super authentic and is great for hardcore sushi and Korean food fans like myself, while a decent section is available to normies who prefer California Rolls, since they need love to. I especially loved the uni, the ikura, the sushi boat, the soondoobu chigae and the wide selection of nigiri! The mouth watering real Korean food at this hidden gem is a refreshing change especially since Massachusetts does not have a lot of decent authentic Korean restaurants compared to LA or Atlanta, so this is my new go to! Also the sushi chef and wait staff are super chill, polite and sweet. If you want the real stuff we Asians eat and not just another fried rice and egg roll joint, this place is for you. If not, you should still try it because holy cow it's still some of the best you'll find this far North.

I've been going to/ordering from Ponzu for a long time. I usually order a bibimbap and scallion pancake with seafood, the photos attached. I've also had their sushi and doen jang chigae, both of which are good. The only dish I wouldn't recommend is their calamari; one thing that occasionally goes wrong with their dishes is they're too oily. In the case of their calamari, it feels like the batter isn't thick enough to absorb the oil, or else it's just not what I'm used to eating. The fried part is whitish instead of the typical golden, and it's just greasy. Besides that, I'd actually say they've improved over the years. Obviously their scallion pancake is also oily, but it's the perfect combination of crispy and soft. The saltiness is also just right when you dip it in the sauce. It was once under-cooked inside while burnt on the surface, but that hasn't happened for a while. They also used to add too much sesame oil to their bibimbap, but not anymore. I don't know if they serve them anymore, but back before COVID I really enjoyed their banchan when dining in person. I marked that you'd spend 20 - 30 per person, but that's only if you order appetizer(s) as well. Their portions are large, and the flavors are great. I'm looking forward to trying some new dishes from them in the future!
